PV Sindhu Makes History By Entering Finals Of Women’s Badminton Singles

Indian badminton player PV Sindhu made history by entering the final of the women’s singles event in Olympics after defeating Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara.

She beat Okuhara by 21-19, 21-10 in the semi-final. Her final showdown will be with World No.1 Carolina Marin. Soon after victory, Sindhu told : “My target is gold and I promise to play my heart out against Carolina Marin.”

This will be the first time India will ever India will contest in an Olympics Badminton final.


Earlier, Saina Nehwal had won a bronze in the London Olympics four years back.
